Egypt Exploration Society

Revamping the Egypt Exploration Society's visual identity was an exciting challenge. With roots dating back to 1882, the Society's brand had remained unchanged since the Victorian era.

My primary role in this shared project was to reimagine the Society's logo, transitioning it from its historical roots to a sleek and modern design. I'm proud to share that my proposed logo was selected by the client.

I aimed to create a logo that honors the Society's heritage while giving it a modern feel. The new logo strikes a balance between boldness and contemporary style for easy recognition. Drawing from Egyptian imagery, I enhanced legibility and opted for blue ink to convey authority, expertise, trust, and intelligence. The logo features an iconic Horus child on an open lotus flower, symbolising rebirth and growth.

Feedback has been positive, and the logo seamlessly integrates across all EES platforms, including print and digital publications.
